Tea party on the Štanjel terrace, including some interesting stories about the Ferrari family.
Let’s travel back to the years when the Ferrari family spent their carefree days in the garden next to Villa Ferrari.
The villa and the estate were designed and built for his relatives by Maks Fabiani, one of the greatest Slovenian urban planners and architects and the then mayor of Štanjel. Even today, with its terraced design, selected vegetation and the phenomenon of the water supply system, the Ferrari Garden is an outstanding cultural and architectural monument of the Karst and Slovenia alike.
Here, stories will be recounted of the Ferrari family members who, during holidays, used to spend their leisure time in the garden. We will take a look at images of the past in the garden. We learn about the estate’s remarkably planned self-sustaining system with its own orchards, vegetable gardens, pastures, beehives, an oval pond, a boules court and an ice pit. At the Ferrari Tea Party, we will be enthralled by the aroma of homemade herbal tea and a dessert, while enjoying a fabulous view of the Karst.
