Thurs and Fri, by prior arrangement
Through a short kamishibai story told in the Karst dialect children will learn how the stubborn Karst locals knew how to exploit the harsh natural conditions to their benefit. They will learn how the locals used stone to build their houses and the difference between a typical Karst house and a typical Štanjel house. They will look at the ethnological collection of the Karst House that displays useful items and tools from the everyday life of the simple inhabitants. Afterwards, a workshop may be held where a model of a traditional Karst house can be made. This workshop can also involve the graphic art technique of linocut.
