Exhibition

The exhibition features the artists Mario Palli and Damijan Kracina, each exploring contemporary artistic styles in their own way.

Mario Palli, a painter and printmaker, is recognised for his refined artistic expression, the elegance of colour planes, and distinctive linear compositions. Damijan Kracina, a sculptor and multimedia artist, works in the field of contemporary art and also creates works for public spaces.

The exhibition is on display until 1 November 2026 inclusive.

 About the artists

Mario Palli, painter and graphic artist, was born in Gorizia in 1946. In 1963 he graduated from the State Art Institute of Gorizia – pictorial decoration section. In 1965 he graduated from the Magistero d’Arte in Venice – fresco section. Since 1967, he has taught life drawing and painting at the Art Institutes of Gorizia, Bari and Trieste. He took part in all the most important international graphic design exhibitions, receiving numerous awards. He lives and works between Gradisca d’Isonzo (Italy) and Ljubljana (Slovenia).
Sculptor and multimedia artist Damijan Kracina was born in 1970 in Kobarid. After completing his studies in sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana in 1996, he also completed a specialized program in sculpture and video. He was active in the Provokart art groups, served as artistic director of Artileria Kluže, co-founded the Society for Domestic Research and was a member of the AKC Metelkova collective. He works in the fields of sculpture and multimedia art. Kracina is also active in contempora ry art and has created several sculptures for public spaces. Since 2010, he has been working as professor at the Secondary School of Design and Photography in Ljubljana. He lives and works in Ljubljana.
