Screening of the documentary film “Resuns” (2014), directed by Aline Suter and Céline Carridroit
“Resuns” (Echoes) offers a unique insight into the richness, sound, and melody of Rhaeto-Romance – one of Switzerland’s four official languages. In the era of globalisation, Rhaeto-Romance, spoken by only a small minority, appears to be endangered and on the verge of extinction. However, for the protagonists of this visually and acoustically evocative documentary, the language is a symbol of belonging, identity, and resistance. (Swissfilm).
The film evening is part of the exhibition “Let’s Speak Rhaeto-Romance!”, which explores the linguistic and cultural heritage of Rhaeto-Romance and highlights its relevance in the modern world.
