The exhibition on the Polish language, entitled “Look, This Is Polish!”, takes us on a journey through the mysteries and richness of one of the world’s 25 largest languages. Addressing a diverse audience – pupils, students, teachers, as well as all other curious visitors and enthusiasts of languages, literature and culture – the exhibition posters explore the origins of the Polish language, its specific features in comparison with other Slavic languages, the role of Polish in shaping national identity, and the characteristics of Polish literature and culture. Special attention is given to the presence of the Polish language “on the sunny side of the Alps”.
The exhibition was prepared by the Department of Slavistics at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Ljubljana.
The exhibition will be on display at Štanjel Castle until the end of December 2026.
