Little shops with local products

In the shop on the ground floor of the Lojze Spacal Gallery, you will find unique and original gifts that recount the stories of Štanjel, as well as the Karst and Brkini.

The Vinoteka Grad Štanjel wine shop offers a wide range of gastronomic offerings from the Karst, with more than 100 wines produced by Karst winemakers from Slovenia and Italy available for purchase under one roof.

The small gallery space exhibits works created on the lathe by Metka Zver. She makes bowls, plates, vases and lanterns from the most precious local woods such as oak, walnut, smoke tree and yew.

In the shop you will also find products from other local artists and artisans, such as the distinctive Štanjel wreaths, stone products, lavender, books about the Karst, as well as local olive oil, brandy and wine.

The Tošč shop and butcher’s shop is located on the main road, right at the foot of Štanjel Castle. In one place you can choose from basic groceries, local home-made delicacies from the Karst and Vipava Valley and a selection of gifts for your loved ones.
